Our Guild library is now available to members for browsing and checkout of
books. It consists of over 560 books and ephemera relating to the art and
craft of weaving textiles, and is located in the studio of Martha Stanley in
Watsonville. Guild members may check out items by visiting the library or by
phoning Martha who will bring them to the next Guild meeting. The library
is for the use of Guild members only.
A list of books in the library can be accessed here in html or in pdf format, for your browsing online. Instructions for checking out and returning books are at the library in a ring binder. Please read these instructions carefully before checking out books.
The library was created from donations by Guild members, after the initial impetus of Ginna Hartzell donating her library to the Guild. Books may continue to be donated by contacting our librarian, Yonat Michaelov, with a description and/or list of books intended to donate. Please view the list of books before you contact Yonat, checking your list against what is already in the library. We are not accepting magazines.
We thank our setup team of Carole Beckett, Ann Hamburg,
Yonat Michaelov,
Gudrun Polak, Nora Rogers and Martha Stanley for months of planning
and working to make such a large library available to all members.
If you have any questions, please contact Yonat Michaelov. We hope you enjoy access to these books that will inspire you in your textile arts, and aid you in your creative process.
